Leon Silvers, LMHC, has been in the field of mental health for over 20 years. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, summa cum laude from Georgia State University and his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University.

 

He has earned post-graduate certification, licenses, and training in the following modalities: individual, group, and couple’s psychotherapy, psychedelic-assisted therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR, drama therapy, psychodrama, and hypnotherapy.

 

Leon's wide clinical experience includes working with patients from many racial and ethnic backgrounds, ages, religions, disabilities, gender, and sexual orientation.

 

Some of his clinical experiences have been as a full-time psychotherapist at various mental health clinics providing individual, group, couple, and family psychotherapy to adults and adolescents; providing life coaching services for clients around the country; working in outpatient substance abuse organizations; and has served as the Clinical Director of Identity House, a non-profit LGBT service organization. Leon has been in private practice for over 13 years.
